Experience an explosion of Afro-Cuban rumba with a Dallas flavor at this free outdoor concert in the Latino Cultural Center Plaza.

A bilingual musical theatre experience weaving Puerto Rican poetry, memoir, music, and memory. Foundational Nuyorican voices and contemporary poets from Puerto Rico create a living dialogue between the island and its diaspora.

Through dance, visual art, and spoken-word poetry, Alien Number explores Latine identity, immigrant stories, and collective resilience. This work-in-progress is being developed through a Latinidades residency with Mai Rojas and Escultores del Aire.

Punk music and ecstatic movement ignite Orisha narratives and Caribbean folktales, transforming into femme power, anti-colonial rebellion, and mosh-pit liberation. Six archetypes gather to share stories of an anti-colonial femme fatale, a secret society of beautiful femmes, and reunification in the mosh pit.

Celebrate the opening of the 7th Annual Latinidades Theatre Festival with a free, all-ages community celebration featuring a participatory procession, movement theatre, dance, live music, and poetry. Featured artists include Barcelona’s Escultores del Aire, Austin’s Las de Allá Dance Collective, Cara Mía Theatre, and Dallas-area artists.

Returning for its 3rd year, the Latinidades Arts Symposium brings together artists, cultural leaders, educators, and arts organizations to explore how our arts can thrive in times of change. Through conversations on mentorship, funding trends, AI and the arts, and community-building, the Symposium creates space for learning, collaboration, and intergenerational exchange.

Barcelona’s Los Escultores del Aire brings its internationally recognized approach to physical theatre to Latinidades. Led by artistic director Mai Rojas, the company uses movement and corporeal mime as a universal language, blending theatrical disciplines to tell stories through the expressive possibilities of the body. Their work has been presented across Europe, the United States, Latin America, and beyond.
