Building a National Destination for Latinx Theatre

Over 25 years, Cara Mía Theatre has grown into the largest Latinx theatre in Texas. Through growth opportunities, Cara Mía Theatre has become a leading national Latinx theatre, joining four other Latinx theatres in the United States with an annual operating budget of more than $1,000,000.

Core Programs

Cara Mía Theatre will continue to establish itself as a national destination for artists and cultural workers from Dallas and around the country in the following ways:

Plays

Continue to expand local and national reach through new play development and world premieres at the Latino Cultural Center, co-productions with local and national theatres, national touring productions, site-specific and neighborhood performances.

Education

Continue to make a difference in the lives of youth by growing the impact of educational programs from 30,000 youth to 60,000 youth by FY23/24.

Community

Continue to deliver new Circles of Community Care programs that focus on intercultural learning and relationship building for adults in various neighborhoods and communities.

Consultancy

Consultancy service for corporations, businesses, and non-profits on Latinx and BIPOC cultural competencies, racial healing and racial equity, arts and education, and cultural advocacy.

The Transformation Fund

The Transformation Fund is a three-year capacity campaign to fund our strategic initiatives to sustain growth over the next three years.
